Toyota has always been a popular choice in automotive industry for over 60 years already in all possible markets. Apparently, Toyota has been able to achieve a token of reliance, love and trust from their customer base and anyone else who has closely used a Toyota Vehicle for a considerable amount of time. The new generation with improved performance and a unique facelift has arrived in Indian market already, at a very reasonable price for anyone.
The Toyota Fortuner 2.8L 4×4 AT model comes at an impressive price tag of Rs. 3,207,469 in the Indian market. However, customers may avail the EMI where the down payment is Rs. 410,935 and the rest of the money could be paid at an interval of 60 months at Rs. 50,051 per month. The interest rate for this EMI structure is 10.5%. Buyers get the flexibility of changing the down payment amount as well as the monthly installment.
Although the Toyota Fortuner is supposed to be a powerful on and off roader with a very high level of capability on different surfaces, that doesn’t really mean there can’t be a lot of color schemes. In the Indian market, the Toyota Fortuner is available at colors like Phantom Brown, Attitude Black, Super White, White Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Grey Metallic etc. At the first glance to expert eyes, the car appears to be a different car because the Fortuner grille and headlamp panel has been swapped with a whole new face-lifted unit.
The new Fortuner comes with a redesigned new bumper, as well as a new set of fog-lamp housing. Also, the roof has gone pillar-less, a floating design makes the Fortuner look exciting without sacrificing any of its security properties. A lot of design properties are loaned from the Lexus series, though.

A whole new dashboard has been introduced with the Toyota Fortuner. Multi-information cluster isn’t new, but this 2nd generation Fortuner flaunts more information at a more compact package. The three-spoke steering is now wrapped with a very premium leather with audio controls in the higher variants. Also, the new key fob has been redesigned to suit the personality of a super expensive car like the Fortuner.

The 2.8 Liter Turbo Diesel Engine variant offers a whole lot of power for people who needs off-roading capability to a superior level. The maximum power is 174 bhp and the maximum torque is 450 Nm; the figures vary little bit on AT and MT but they’re close. Speaking of mileage, even with such a powerful engine the mileage manages to stay at a number beyond 10 kmpl. For the 2,755 cc engine AT, rated mileage is 12.9 kmpl.
Safety rating with Toyota has never been disappointing. However, the Fortuner is perfectly safe at turning unlike the latest Hilux which has a tendency to trip at tough corners. There are sufficient number of seat belts and air bags all across, also the necessary amount of crash bars.
For a new vehicle at a price range around 35 lac rupees, we would always recommend the Toyota Fortuner.
